Joint Weight Loss Program More Effective Than Individual Effort

There’s this African proverb that rings true in many situations; if you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together. It is an aphorism that aptly illustrates the fact that humans achieve more when they do things in concert, not in isolation.

I know this for a fact because on the occasions that I go to the gym, I find it is easier to train with a gym partner rather than doing everything alone. Weights feel lighter for some reason, when you are being psyched by another person.  From my own experience, I know that the mere fact that the other person is watching out for me imbues me with strength, because I know if the weight overwhelms me, he will quickly step in and lift it off me. When training alone, I do not have such a safety cushion, and for that reason, I will always train with weights that can never truly test my strength.

How Raspberry Ketone Extract Works for Weight Loss

As people struggle with their desk jobs, as well as unhealthy and sedentary lifestyles, obesity has emerged as perhaps the biggest threat, which triggers many other serious ailments over the years. The resolve to stick to a stringent diet or visiting the gym often runs out of steam midway, which does no good to the person who has enthusiastically vowed to do these things to avoid being plagued by obesity. If you have been suffering from obesity or fear that you are slowly inching towards the treatment zone, it’s time to think about feasible and effective alternatives that would help you stay fit. Raspberry ketone extract - a popular health supplement, is one such solution, which has helped many people steer clear of obesity.

Sildenafil Citrate Study on Mice - Weight Loss Protocol in Human Possible

A research study from the University of Bonn leads to a breakthrough discovery that Viagra is more than just a blue pill and treatment for impotence. The heart of the research outcome opened the possibility that it can be a potential weight loss protocol in humans after it was seen as capable of converting the undesirable white fat cells from the body of mice into beige ones. The outcome of the study was published in the Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.

Sildenafil - weight loss potential mechanism

lab mouseBefore sildenafil was discovered for its effectiveness in combating the erectile dysfunction symptoms, it was initially studied for its potential health benefit as a treatment for angina pectoris. This initial study led scientists to discover it as more effective in improving the blood circulation in the penile area, making it more efficient in causing an effective erection among men with impotence than treating angina.

How Much will I Lose on Weight Watchers?

By Jackie Stinson

I lost 67 pounds following the Weight Watchers plan. I lost this weight in just less than 30 weeks. You can expect to lose about 1-2 pounds per week by following the plan. I found that I lost a little more than that for the first few weeks because I made so many healthy changes. Then, it tapered off to the 1-2 pounds per week amount. I have kept it off for about five years, so I can attest to the fact that if you stick to the plan you will lose and you will keep it off. The program was designed for you to be successful.

What is a healthy weight loss rate?

According to the Mayo Clinic, a healthy weight loss rate is exactly what you can expect to experience with Weight Watchers: 1-2 pounds per week. There may be cases where doctors recommend a different level of loss, but these cases are typically extreme. If you ever have questions specific to your situation, talk to your doctor. I saw a doctor just as I was starting Weight Watchers. First, he told me how much he advocated the program for his patients. Then he told me that I could safely lose two pounds per week.

Will Weight Watchers Fit My Lifestyle?

By Jackie Stinson

Lifestyle! Why change it if you are satisfied with it? Weight Watchers respects your lifestyle, your tastes, your culture, the way you live, what works for you, all aspects of your daily living.

Weight Watchers is made for human nature. It’s designed to fit any lifestyle. Your lifestyle.

Weight Watchers easily fit my own lifestyle. Here is why it can fit yours, too:

1. Weight Watchers is NOT a Diet

We throw around the word “diet” in a lot of different ways. It can refer to the kinds of foods we consume, but more often than not, it’s used to describe a method of losing weight. Specifically, it means restricting yourself to a tiny amount of food or a certain type of food to drop pounds. There are usually tons of restrictions—no carbs, no dairy, low-fat, low calorie, nothing processed, only green foods on Tuesdays. I’m exaggerating, slightly, but you get the idea.

Does Weight Watchers Work for Men, Too?

By Jackie Stinson

Weight Watchers can work for everyone, including men. Women and men are different in practically every way, including the way we approach things like diet and exercise. As someone who has lost nearly 70 pounds using the Weight Watchers plan*, I understand the struggles. Weight Watchers has more than 50 years of science behind the program they’ve developed, so it’s no surprise that they’ve taken into account the specific things that men need to be successful too.

*(People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.)

Weight Watchers for Men: What is it?

As a man you can follow the Weight Watchers program with Weight Watchers Online,  a customized plan that you can follow either completely online, or by attending meetings. You decide what works best for you. Whichever option you choose, there are a few things that stay the same. You’ll get a ton of support, strategies, and tips to stay on track and lose weight. For me a combination of meetings and online tools led me to success. You may find that you want to use just the online tools. Even that part is customized by you.

What Will I Eat on Weight Watchers?

By Jackie Stinson

If you’ve tried to lose weight, you’ve inevitably read about or even tried a few of the literally thousands of diets that exist. Some of them make ridiculous promises of weight loss and fat loss with a pill or supplement. Others swear that you’ll lose significant pounds by eating one or two foods like cabbage soup, grapefruits, or carrots.

On the surface, each of these diet programs appears different, but they all have one thing in common. They do not work. Let me be clear about that statement. I am not implying that if you do nothing but eat cabbage soup for a week or two, you won’t lose a few pounds. It’s entirely possible. Of course, when you stop eating soup and start eating real food you won’t necessarily keep off the pounds. What I mean is that to lose weight, be healthy, and be able to live your life, you need to be able to eat real food & things you love to eat . A life of deprivation and vegetable soup doesn’t sound so appealing.

Is Weight Watchers for Men Worth it? Review

By Jackie Stinson

When I can’t sleep I watch infomercials. It’s a habit and I usually get a good laugh at what the product is doing or promising. It’s always something revolutionary that’s going to change your life as you know it. I especially love the ones about dieting. I think I’m most drawn to these because I’ve lost over 60 pounds with Weight Watchers and I know that I couldn’t have found my success with a pill or a juice drink. (People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.) I’ve watched a number of these infomercials and I noticed something similar – they were all geared toward women; each one was talking about sexy hourglass figures or fitting into “that little black dress” or pair of jeans. Now, I know that these diets don’t work, but it occurred to me that men were being left out of the equation. Do these fad diet companies not understand that men want to be healthy and fit too? Well probably not. Of course, Weight Watchers has solved that.

Staying Fit While Traveling

Staying fit is a challenge! And the older you get the harder it is to maintain fitness. Yet if we are to live a long and healthy life, fitness is an integral part. Obesity and the diseases which stem from it such as Type 2 diabetes are at epidemic levels around the world. This is something that is totally within our control. However, even those of us who are fit tend to forget our fitness regimes when traveling. After all, we are on holiday, so why not do it properly? Well, guess what, you can have a great trip and still maintain your fitness by just following a few simple rules.

Keep Your Mouth Shut!

The success of any fitness regime is more dependent on diet than fitness training. It is no use going to the gym or exercising if you are going to undo all that hard work by eating like there is no tomorrow. This is even more difficult when traveling as you are often vacationing at hotels or resorts with sumptuous, all you can eat smorgasbords, offering mouth watering delicacies.
