What Is the Fastest Way to Lose Belly Fat?

Any of us who look down at ourselves and wish to see a washboard where there are currently rolls of fat, will wonder what is the fastest way to lose belly fat? Is it this ab machine or that one? Is it the vibrator machine or belt? Is it this food or that exercise?

The fact is that the fastest way to lose belly fat is to achieve overall weight loss. We may have said it before and we say this again, there is no way to lose weight on any one area of the body; spot reduction is a physical impossibility.

There is no way to lose weight only on one area of your body

So if you have a machine that promises “weight loss from the tummy” or a diet program that promises “washboard abs” or a gel or lotion that promises to “melt away belly fat”, this is just clever marketing if not downright lies.

Unless you are willing to commit to a healthier lifestyle that incorporates healthy low calorie diet and lot of exercise to help you lose weight, there is really no way that you will budge the abdominal fat. Other than that, the fastest way to lose belly fat is via surgery, such as a tummy tuck, liposuction procedures and similar cosmetic surgeries.

Curb Your Appetite Naturally with the One Food at a Time Eating Plan

If you ever find yourself in the place where you feel like you are constantly absolutely starving for food and you simply can’t think of anything but what you are going to eat next, this article is the one for you.

Trust me, I’ve been there. You wake up hungry; you eat a breakfast larger than you ever do; yet, you’re still on pins and needles hungry waiting for lunch, only to eat a larger lunch than normal and find yourself no less satisfied than when you started…

When You Can’t Get Enough

And on it goes all day into you fall into bed, starving, disgusted with the day and dying for tomorrow’s breakfast. It’s miserable, it’s depressing and it’s downright frustrating.

When I get to this stage, for whatever reason, there’s usually only one cure that works for me. I call it the One Food at a Time Eating Plan. I don’t call it a diet, simply because the goal here is not weight loss (though it can be, if you decide to cut your calorie intake as well), it’s simply to retrain hunger cues and eat naturally.

Do You Use This Valuable Weight Loss Tool...A Bike Trainer?

There's a lot of interest in losing weight in the United States these days, and rightfully so. Just take a look around at the local mall and what do you see? Round faces and round bodies rolling through the stores just about everywhere you look.

According to Forbes.com, 74.1% of Americans exceed their allowable body mass index...and that was in 2007. I highly doubt that the figures have gotten better since then.

Dieting Alone Doesn't Cut It

It makes sense that getting down to a healthy weight involves correcting what goes into your mouth. But if that's all you do, you'll merely create a slightly smaller version of the flabby, puffy person you're trying to eliminate.

An healthy dose of regular exercise, along with the altered eating habits, is critical to achieving the type of weight loss that results in a strong and lean body.

It's the regularity of the exercise program that can be a real challenge, particularly if you live in an area that isn't blessed with optimum exercise weather for much of the year. Living up in the mountains of far Northern California, I know what it's like to be essentially house-bound for much of the snowy winter months.

Weight Loss for Dummies

A very common goal among any gender, any age group and anywhere in the world is weight loss. We want to lose weight because we believe that the less we have, the better we look. This is why so much weight loss tips, crash diets and fads have been developed through the years. Some worked, others didn’t. I’m pretty sure you’ve tried at least one in your life – did it work?

I suppose before we go any further, it’s important to let you know that crash diets don’t exist. These are all myths made up by people trying to get money out of you. Don’t waste your money on these. There are better tips to follow which can guarantee you weight loss.

Eat Less Total Calories

Calories are a dieting woman’s worst enemy – that’s why when you’re trying to diet, just eat less of them. Weight loss is and always will be about calories. Other stuff play a role as well – protein, fats, carbs, supplements and exercise are also important but these are only secondary to calories. The other tips won’t matter if you can’t get this part right.

Why are calories so important?

What To Do When You Feel Like Giving Up On Weight Loss

We all have been there...you are doing good and those first couple of pounds seem to come off with ease. Then for one reason or another your interest seems to be fading and fading fast.

What is a person to do? You have worked too hard to just give up. This is where you need to change your "thinking" towards weight loss.

Make your workouts more fun!

Music is a great way to get yourself pumped up for a good workout. If you are going out for an evening run get yourself a nice iPod set to listen too. Never underestimate the power of music and what it can do for your fitness routine.

Add some cool dance routines to your workouts. Don't worry because you don't have to dance like Fred Astaire to get huge benefits from dancing. Most dances work your entire body and it's great if you are looking for a little change of pace.

Challenge Yourself

Doing the same workout will yield the same results. This is one of the main reasons why people want to just throw in the towel and give up. Don't let that be you! If you are lifting the same weight every week...try adding 2 to 5 pounds each week or try to increase your repetition.

Identifying the ‘Negative’ People in Your Diet Plans

One of the first things that we do when we start a diet plan is identify the things that we have to do, and the things that we have to not do.  These rules are ostensibly easy to follow, but most of us don’t realize that things become slightly more complicated if there is a person perpetrating the things that you shouldn’t do (especially if that person is someone close to you and influential in your decision making process).

Although you could argue that you are ultimately responsible if your diet succeeds or fails, you can’t argue that knowing which types of these people you should avoid would save you a lot of energy resisting their negative influence on you.  Here are three (in my opinion) of the most threatening types of people to your weight loss goals:

 1. The ‘health-nut’ friend:

Staying away from people who aren’t obese may seem extremely counter-intuitive, but a recent study published in the journal Obesity suggests that hanging around obese people could actually increase your motivation to lose weight.

5 Reasons You Can’t Lose Weight

If you are one of the millions of people across the world that struggles with losing weight, or even just toning up, there is probably a very good explanation for it. We understand that everybody is different in terms of body shape, physical ability, diet and lifestyle, but by putting our 5 golden rules into practice you are sure to begin seeing a noticeable loss in weight within a month.

It all starts with engaging in regular exercise and cutting down on calorific intake – there is no rocket science behind the premise of losing weight; it’s just putting it into practice where many of us go wrong.

1. Do not eat late at night

Studies have shown that those who eat later at night are considerably more likely to put on weight, or struggle to lose existing weight, than those who do not. According to this article by the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8234386.stm) it is proven that there is in fact a “wrong” time to eat. Avoid eating in late evening and certainly avoid midnight snacks as this has been linked to obesity.

Why Your Diet is Failing - 5 Diet Saboteurs

So you think you’ve been doing everything right with your diet, but your beer gut is still making its last stand.  Unless your “diet” consists of eating weight watchers TV dinners for breakfast lunch and dinner, you’re probably inadvertently doing something else that is stopping you from getting results.

Here are 5 factors that could be inhibiting your weight loss goals that people commonly neglect.

 1. Binge Drinking

I don’t necessarily mean alcohol, even though beer does have a lot of calories.  A lot of people associate liquids with being devoid of any real calories since they’re not “solid food,” but many drinks these days can be enough to prevent you from losing weight, even if the solid food you’re eating is considered healthy.

For instance, a 20 ml bottle of coke contains over 100 grams of sugar and 250 calories!  Try switching to caffeine pills or even fat burning supplements for your daily caffeine needs… even if you still don’t lose weight, at least you’ll have a whiter smile now.

The 411 on Weight Loss after Pregnancy

For most women, having a baby is worth having the extra 25 plus pounds on your body. But that doesn’t mean that you necessarily want all those additional pounds on your body.

Weight loss after pregnancy is definitely a goal, but don’t rush into it. After labor and delivery, your baby needs time to heal and recover. As a rule of thumb, healthcare providers recommend that it’s best to wait until your postpartum check-up before starting to actively lose your pregnancy weight.

According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, women can begin an exercise program as soon as they feel up to it, but it’s recommended that they speak to their doctor beforehand. Exercising after pregnancy can enhance your physical well-being and even help with your postpartum mood swings.

For a healthy postpartum weight loss, it’s important for you to realize that you will never regain your former pre-pregnancy body. Pregnancy often causes permanent changes to your body, including a bigger waistline, hips that are slightly wider than before, and a softer belly. Keep this in mind, so you can adjust your weight loss goal to be realistic.

How To Tighten Up Saggy Excess Skin After Weight Loss

Nobody wants drooping globs of excess sagging skin hanging off their body. But unfortunately, this is one of the negative side effects often seen after the positive accomplishment of losing a large amount of weight.

Not only is it uncomfortable when you have to squeeze that extra loose skin into your new thin clothes, but it's a constant reminder of how big you once were. And frankly, it's embarrassing. You want to show off your new thin body--not hide it!

Yet there is hope! So here are a few things you can do to help tighten up your saggy skin rolls, no matter whether the weight loss occurred due to diet and exercise, or a medical procedure like stomach stapling or gastric banding.

The Basics

Some skin tightening can occur naturally, especially if you help aid the process with these basics:
