Rodney Yee has a beloved following.  There are many users that purchased this DVD set simply because of Rodney’s reputation.  He is a world renowned Yoga expert.

How Much Weight Will I Lose?

Unlike a weight loss pill or a special diet, I cannot place  numbers to exercise routines or forms.  Yoga has a reputation for producing sleek, slender and sexy toned bodies with repeated use.  Most users that make Yoga a basic part of the lifestyle have absolutely no trouble to get rid of their excess and unwanted weight.  I would expect that if you were practicing Yoga daily with a proper diet, shedding pounds for you would not be difficult at all.

Issues to pay attention

At this point, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that Yoga is a semi strenuous exercise form that that borders that of ballet.  You push your body to really demanding poses where you have to perform big stretches that overwork your muscles. With that said, straining or pulling a muscle is always a possibility.  Make sure to practice proper posture to reduce the risk of injury.

  • You get ideal beginner quality poses. You may still find them challenging
  • You get a yoga workout designed by a Yoga guru
  • You enjoy a yoga DVD which is much cheaper than a class

  • Unlike a class, there is no interactive instruction for correction
  • Half the DVD yoga workout is taught by Rodney’s assistant
  • Limited. It only contains  2 routines

Problems And Complaints

Perfect products are like the fountain of youth, they simply do not  exist.  The Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners DVD is not any different. Rodney Yee designed this DVD and routines but it is his assistant who teaches half of the classes.  I would have preferred if Mr. Yee performed the entire DVD.

Each routine is short.  This disc only contains two but each one is roughly a little less then 18 minutes long.  The DVD is great as an intro to Yoga and easy to follow everyday.  I have to point out however, that the days that I have extra time or it is raining and cannot go out, a longer option would be nice.

How Does it rate overall?

The Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners DVD for beginners is well designed and taught and the introduction and corrections to common problems make this a solid investment.  It is obvious that the users of this DVD have acknowledged its benefits and it is amazing that in the average customer review, it has achieved a 4.5-star rating out of 5.0. It is also remarkable that out of 133 customer reviews, 86 of them have given this DVD  a 5.0-star rating, while 24 of them have given it a 4.0-star rating.
