Maximuscle CLA-1000 Diet System Review

Marina's picture

Maximuscle advertizes CLA-1000 as a diet system. It consists of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid pills) and a balanced diet accompanied with exercise. In combination, they are supposed to speed the fat loss and improve muscle tone.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid is a fatty acid naturally present in the meat of ruminants and in dairy products. The best known natural source is kangaroo meat.

CLA was originally researched for its cancer-fighting properties. It is now widely used to help fight inflammation and reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease. Its effect in controlling body weight by reducing body fat and increasing lean muscle mass are also well researched.

Each CLA-1000 capsule contains 622mg of the purified CLA. The CLA in CLA-1000 is enriched with vitamin E to prevent oxidization in prolong freshness.

Studies of effects of CLA on fat mass, especially abdominal fat, in humans, found that the fat loss effect exists, but that it is too small to be the solution for obesity. The conclusion is that fat burning can be significantly increased if its use is combined with exercise.

How does Maximuscle CLA-1000 Diet System Work?

According to Maximuscle, the CLA-1000 helps your body burn existing fat for energy, resulting in a reduced amount of stored fat.

It works as part of a 3-fold system: use of CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid), balanced diet and exercise program. CLA itself helps reduce fat and increase muscle mass, but it cannot do the job alone.

Does Maximuscle CLA-1000 Diet System Work?

With good, balanced diet and sensible exercise program, the linoleic acid pills can help. Until now, there are no customers’ reviews available to prove the manufacturer’s claim. However, recent scientific evidence suggests that dietary supplementation with CLA can reduce “total body adipocity” in women.

Side Effects

Confliciting studies show that CLA supplementation may be associated with increased risk for developing heart disease and diabetes.

In 2004, studies from Gaullier and Smedman showed that lipoprotein (a) and C-reactive protein, two risk factors for heart disease, increased in the blood of people who took 4.5 grams of CLA per day. However, Smit found in 2010 that “CLA was associated with a lower risk of myocardial infarction.”

If you have or at risk of developing diabetes or heart disease, it would be wise to consult a physician and monitor possible side effects when taking any CLA dietary supplements

The manufacturer of CLA-1000 sells CLA capsules together with a balanced diet and a program of exercise, available on their website.

Although there are no reviews available, there is no reason for the system not to work, if done as advertized. CLA itself is an antioxidant and, as such, beneficial for health. As scientists have proven, together with exercise, it does burn fat, especially on the belly.

The product is originally tested on pigs, with the goal of making leaner pork, so we have pigs to thank for the CLA pills aimed for dieting!

My take is that Maximuscle CLA promises a little more than it can realistically deliver. It is, at least, advertized honestly as a system, not as cure-all, so users know that they have to do their part.
