Circuit Training For Weight Loss: A Great Fat Burning Workout

In today’s hectic society, it’s tough to find an hour a day to workout. But what if you could workout for just twenty minutes a day, and do it from the comfort of your own home? You wouldn’t need to buy any fancy gym equipment, join a gym or leave your house and you’d still be able to get the kind of workout that will help you burn excess fat at an amazing pace.

Circuit training for weight loss is a relatively new phenomenon. Basically, you would set up your own routine that would target as many muscle groups as possible. This routine would consist of stations, and you would then perform each exercise for a predetermined amount of time, before moving on to the next exercise or station.

Circuit training will allow you to get a good workout in as little as fifteen minutes, although the longer you do it the better. You can also up the intensity of your workout by using equipment, such as dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls and stationary balls. However, if you’re just starting out, you can perform a wide range of exercises without any equipment. Once your body gets used to the strain, you can always up the intensity in order to burn your excess fat faster.

Below you’ll find a beginners circuit training workout. You can perform the exercises without equipment. You should also work at each station for 30 seconds to begin with. You can always add time to the stations as you progress.

• Stretch for at least five minutes

• Run in place for 30 seconds—make sure you keep your knees up

• Push-ups for 30 seconds

• Forward lunge for 30 seconds

• Jumping jacks for 30 seconds

• Tricep dips for 30 seconds

• Crunches for 30 seconds

• Squats for 30 seconds

• Step ups for 30 seconds

• Plank for 30 seconds

• Skip in place (with or without a rope) for 30 seconds

As you can see, you can do the beginners workout in just ten minutes. If you feel up to it, you can repeat the cycle and workout for 20 minutes.

Circuit training allows you to get the workout you desire in a short amount of time. It also has another significant advantage—you can constantly change the exercises in your circuit, which will keep your workouts from becoming boring.
